So it has been a while since I've had a few spare moments to "scribble" thoughts down here... But I realized that it's probably about time.
I've realized that there are a few things that drive me nuts recently. On top of the socks that don't match and money that isn't facing in the same direction, I'm also quite annoyed by people who say, "stop over", then are on the phone the entire night... Lame. Also, the 15 mph thing on city streets-- so not over that yet. Its a pain. But at any rate, no more negatives.
Thanksgiving was delightful- slightly overwhelming but not bad. It was a good excuse to get away, meet people, visit Amy and Steve and see the mountains. Ben's family seems pretty cool. They actually reminded me in an odd way of my own family. Ben's dad seemed like a happy cross between my uncle Dan and Aunt Jenny- a hard working farm type guy who runs the occasional marathon in Alaska. Also, his mom and sisters seemed pretty cool...
Work has gotten slightly better- poinsettias have arrived and for the most part, have been delivered. We still have a ton and a half left, so if you're in Eastern Montana, reading this and need a poinsettia, give me a call. I'd be glad to hook it up. Courtwatch seems to be flip flopping very quickly, but it might recover. Delfs and I are doing a fundraiser this weekend with the help of the Great Grains guys, which is definitely exciting. Hopefully, we'll be able to get rid of a few more poinsettias...
And, the best part of today is that it's SNOWING and it's actually STICKING on the sidewalks and streets. I need to invest in a shovel, and tuck Edna away in her room. I'll certainly miss biking around, but it's a bit too cold and snowy for that.
Scary adventure that I forgot to mention: So, a few weeks ago, I was watching Skeet, the crazy dog in my yard. One of the neighbors dogs saw him, and immediately decided that he hated Skeet. He manages to burrough his way through my fence, and I manage to shove Skeeter into my apt. without injury. Meanwhile, crazy dog starts jumping at my door, and Skeet's whining loudly. But, he lived. I was just super nervous about it... Note to self: avoid neighbor dog.
